Vray rendering in Maya

Here I used Vray rendering in Maya.  I modelled the tricycle, field grass, and used Vray fur for the grass.  Background images were comp'd in but were used for lighting.

A Quick CG Car Composite

 
A super quick composite where I added a CG car to a still bg image. Lighting and shading was done in Maya and rendered in Mental Ray. Tire tracks were done with particles in Maya as well as road spray from back of car.  Rain was also done with particles in Maya.  Composited in Nuke.

A cool project where I created a 3D model of a book opening to reveal the Alps mountain range extruding from a page.  Maya cloth simulations were used and shading and lighting were done in Maya using Mental Ray.

Hyvent - The North Face

 
The North Face Hyvent project was an exciting project.  I had the privilege of being on set in Whistler, BC and experienced a production set.  In this shot was responsible for making layers of the jacket explode to reveal it's layers.  Modeled in Maya and Z-Brush.  Shaded and lit in Maya and rendering using Mental Ray.  Rain and snow effects were done using Maya.  Composited using Nuke and After Effects.
